By accessing and using ApnaGuest PG management software ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Service Description

ApnaGuest is a comprehensive PG (Paying Guest) management software platform that provides:

• Property and building management tools
• Room and bed allocation systems
• Tenant management and onboarding
• Rent collection and payment tracking
• Administrative dashboards and reporting
• Maintenance and issue tracking

2A. Eligibility

The Service is intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By accessing or using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly permit minors to use the Service.

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Property Owners and Admins

• Provide accurate and complete property information
• Maintain current and valid property documentation
• Ensure compliance with local housing and rental laws
• Protect tenant privacy and personal information
• Respond promptly to tenant concerns and maintenance requests

3.2 Tenants

• Provide accurate personal information and valid ID proof
• Comply with property rules and regulations
• Make rent payments on time as per agreed terms
• Report maintenance issues promptly
• Respect other tenants' privacy and property

4. Data Collection and ID Verification

As part of the tenant onboarding process, we collect and store:

• Government-issued ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, etc.)
• Personal contact information
• Emergency contact details
• Employment and income verification documents
• Previous address history

This information is collected for security, verification, and legal compliance purposes. All data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4A. Mobile App Permissions (Android)

To deliver the Service through our Android application, we request certain device permissions. You can manage these permissions in your device settings. Denying optional permissions may limit related features.

• INTERNET: Required to connect to our servers for login, syncing, payments, and content.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+): Optional. Used to send payment reminders, booking updates, maintenance alerts, and security notifications.
• READ_MEDIA_IMAGES (Android 13+): Optional. Allows selecting images for profile photos, property photos, receipts, or ID verification. Access is limited to images you choose.
• CAMERA: Optional. Lets you capture photos for the same purposes as above, requested only when you initiate a camera action.
• READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below): Optional; used only on older Android versions for selecting or saving images/documents, limited by maxSdkVersion for compatibility.

We access only the specific files or photos you select or capture, and we do not collect your entire media library.

5. Payment Terms

• Rent payments must be made as per the agreed schedule
• Late payment fees may apply as specified in the rental agreement
• Security deposits are held as per local rental laws
• All payment transactions are processed securely through our platform
• Refunds will be processed according to the applicable refund policy

6. Platform Usage

Users agree to:

• Use the platform only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the system
• Not interfere with or disrupt the service
• Not share login credentials with unauthorized parties
• Report any security vulnerabilities or suspicious activities

7. Limitation of Liability

ApnaGuest provides the platform "as is" and disclaims all warranties. We are not liable for any disputes between property owners and tenants, property damage, or any consequential damages arising from the use of our service. Users are responsible for their own interactions and agreements.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to the platform or other users. Users may also terminate their accounts at any time by contacting our support team.

9. Updates to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of our service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in [Your City/State].
